A very well-known saying is “no one’s perfect”. This is very true. If people were perfect then there would be no point in waking up in the morning and going to work, and there would certainly be no point of people trying to improve themselves. Maybe you can across this article as you feel like your life is in a rut, or maybe you feel worse than that.
Whatever the reason, there’s no need to feel ashamed about it. You would be amazed with the number of people who only wake up in the morning because they have to. These people are stuck in jobs they don’t like, have financial debt, and in some cases are depressed.
All of these reasons are things that I’ve had to go through, So, here’s how I improved my life within a matter of weeks, and how you can improve your life to.
1. Structure Your Life
Having a structure in your life is very important. There’s no point in aimlessly wandering around all day and having no priorities. This is something that trouble me for years.
So, here’s what I did. First of all I picked a good time to wake up at, 9 AM. My morning routine consists of, reading the news on my phone in bed for 10 minutes, brushing my teeth, and then having breakfast.
This all sounds pretty basic and usual. However, for a long time it wasn’t like that. I used to wake up at around 11 AM. Straight away I’d walk down stairs and just sit in front of the TV. So, this was a pretty big change for me.
I also made sure that I include productive activities during the day. For example, writing and blogging. As soon as I took up this new hobby I had a purpose in life. It even drove me to start my own blog based around health and fitness, Way-up.blog.
2. Self Care
Self-care is something that I use to never think about. However, once I started to structure my day, self-care became a big part of it and really improved my life. As I already mentioned in my morning routine, one of the first things I do is brush my teeth.
Hygiene is a big part of self-care. Around 5 times a week I have a shower. After I’m finished in the shower I like to use skin care products. This really boost my physical appearance and people don’t mind being around me since I smell good.
Another good practice is to use deodorant. Every morning and even during the day a spray of deodorant or cologne can really change people’s first impression of you.
Exercising is a great way to improve your mental health. It can also drastically improve your body image.
I’ve been actively lifting weights for around two years, and nothing makes me feel as good as lying in bed at night knowing that I worked hard today and pushed myself.
Changing your body’s appearance is a great way to improve your life. We have all seen body transformation videos and pictures on social media. If you’re going through a rough time then this is always the first then I recommend. Hit the gym and change your body.
Depending on what your body currently looks like, you might want to lose weight, build muscle, or even both like I did.
The truth is that a body transformation changes more than just your appearance. After I lost 2 stone of fat, not only did I find a new passion for fitness but I also realized what I was capable of.

4. Being Healthy
Being healthy is great, and it’s one of the main things that improved my life.
The first thing I did was cut out the excess of food that I was eating. Basically I was way more than my body actually needed to be energized.
After cutting out the excess, I looked at what I was actually consuming. The majority of food that I was eating was whole foods, such as rice, meat, and potatoes. However, there was still a large amount of junk foods.
So, the second thing I did was cut out these unhealth and unnecessary foods. I them increased the amount of whole foods I was eating to counter balance the amount of calories I had removed from my diet.
This improved my life drastically and it certainly helped me to lose weight and also build muscle in the gym. In addition to that, a healthy wholefood diet will energize you sufficiently for the whole day. So, you can therefore be more productive.
5. Learn a New Skill Set
This is a great way to improve your life and not many people like to talk about it.
Learning a new skill set means that you can take up a new hobby or even profession.
I’m going to use myself as an example again. A few months ago, I learned how to make websites. This took me about a week to learn. After that I need to put something on my website so I started blogging. Blogging completely changed my life. It took a while to perfect, however, once I did, I quit my old job as a leisure centre employee and became self-employed.
This opened a whole new world to me. I felt as if I had the whole world in the palm of my hands.
After starting my blog it quickly grew and I started to make enough money for a nicer car and my first home.
What to Remember
Here’s the main thing that I want you to take away from this article. The people who wake up every day and work to change, change. Everyone else who gossips and mocks you becomes a spectator and let’s their own dreams die.
